Revolution of Hope

The Roxbury Youth Orchestra is a world class music education initiative in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston. We are guided by the belief that an intensive music education can have transformative effects on both the individual and society. An intensive 5-day a week program for an initial 50 students located in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston. We hope to have 5 teachers and 20 volunteer instructors. We hope to offer group lessons, chamber orchestra, chamber music, full orchestra, youth choir, and gospel choir.

Regardless of socioeconomic status or school district, 3rd graders who participate in high-quality music programs score higher on reading and spelling tests than those who do not. Source
